Well....I get more reaction from my personal posts than I do my writing ones anymore...so...here we go...a personal post!

The love of my life (and yes I can call him that....we did meet when we were like 2 and 3 years old) asked me the other day if I wanted my Christmas present early. Stupid question. He talked to Kels (my Partner In Crime) because he said she knew what I was getting and didn't want her mad at him for giving it to me early

She told him if he wanted to give it early then give it.

So we headed to the store...he wanted to stop by gamestop first though.

I stayed in the car while he ran into gamestop (we were going to wal-mart where he saw what he was getting me). I was texted Twin telling her I was getting a present!. Robert gets back in the car, puts a bag down by my feet, me paying no attention to it. We are halfway home when he says "OH! We didn't go to wal-mart!" He proceeds to tease me about having not noticed either.

We pull up to the house and he's saying how bad he feels and I'm all like you should...lol....but he stays in the car, the door open while I get out, watches me and says "do I have your undevided attention now?" He says this with a huge smile on his face. I nod.

He hands me the bag he had stuck down by my feet and I realize the stop at Gamestop was for ME.

Guess what was in the bag?

How To Scare A 12-Year Old Girl:

1. Introduce her to the Scream movies...start with the first movie (obviously)
2. You sit calmly through the first movie and a good bit of the second movie...don't you just love sequels that are about sequels?
3. When the wind pushes your front door open slightly calmly watch said 12-year old go through a slight freak out about how it needs to be closed all the way "you don't know what's out there!"
4. Roll your eyes.
5. Stand up with an exasperated sigh and move toward the door.
6. Instead of closing the door immediately, open it a bit more to get a look out on your front porch.
7. As soon as the porch is in view, widen your eyes, gasp and scream as you slam the door quickly.
8. Watch as said 12-year old jumps clear out of her skin with her own wide eyes and screams
9. Laugh as she chants "OMG OMG OMG...what? what? What is it!!!!"
10. Dodge the little packages of whoppers that she tosses at your head.

Yea yea I know some of you are going to bitch about the whole streaming thing. My take? Get the hell over it. Streaming isn't the only thing that will get your ass caught. Ever done and internest search for subs on a specific drama....yea...the subbers sites come up...LOL...please...and speaking from experience....some people's only option is streaming. The computer I had before this one? Yea...could watch streaming all day, but try downloading something...total meltdown.

Anyway....I also LOVE youtube. Ask twin....if I'm writing and I go off to youtube to find musical inspiration, I become lost in the forest...looking for anything from music videos (originals) to fanvideos of the shipping kind. Its such a distraction!

My Laptop was shipped YESTERDAY!!!!!! Of course they are total idiots still and gave me a tracking number for someone who ordered and received their laptop back in December...but that's okay...IT'S ON ITS WAY!!!!!!

*dances around singing* I will have a cherry red laptop I will have a cherry red laptop I will have a cherry red laptop! Yeah!!!!!

Now....I must name it...an evil twin pointed this out to me and she is oh so right....must name my precious...

1st-Sep-2009 08:54 pm - I Will Be Back

I know it seems I've disappeared. I haven't. As those of you know from my flist, my mother suddenly passed away...diagnosed with lung cancer and dying all within days. It more than just shocked my family.

I haven't much felt like writing. But I will get back to it. Mom was always supportive of my writing and very encouraging with it, even telling me if something was boring as hell. lol. She always wanted me to work on my vampire books...urging me to take them from my notebooks and tell their story. So, now I feel I absolutely must get to work on these books....I must pick up Kuro's story and get it done. She would have wanted me to.

My dad ordered me a laptop. It should be here by the 11th. Can't wait! It's cherry red! As soon as I get it in my ex-boyfriend is going to stop by and show me how to use windows vista because that is what it comes with and I know nothing about vista. But as soon as I have it all set up I'll start transfering my chapters to the laptop so I can get to work.

Mom's memorial went well....lots of people showed up...some I didn't even know. Mom was always very ecclectic about her music. We played Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata as people entered for the service and as they left Aerosmith's Dream On played. She would have been happy with that.

Basically this entry is to let all of you know, that I am okay...or I will be and to reassure you that I will be getting back to the writing soon.

I also wanted to thank everyone who called, texted and sent messages to me. It was nice to know there were people out there who care. And I wanted to thank Mel for stressing so bad cause she couldn't get to me (even if a clown with shun's voice was stopping her...lol); I also wanted to thank Mishy and Kris from work for showing up on my doorstep with food (who felt like cooking?) and Kelly, my PIC for watching the kids when I needed that time with dad, bringing cookies and cream filled donuts; and David, for sitting on the phone with me in the middle of the night, talking to me till I fell asleep and for wanting so desperately to remember your Irish lullabies and for offering to throw responsibility to the wind in order to be there right then for me.

You really find out who your friends really are during times like this and I am so lucky to have these people in my life.

I never did do the end of the month pic spam or figure out a new guy for the month...and now think it might be too late to bother. So Se7en will simply remain for two months.
